Duck Daily Bag & Possesion Limits: 6 ducks (including mergansers) per day which may include no more than: 4 long-tailed ducks, 4 scoters, 4 mallards (max. 2 hen mallards), 3 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 2 scaup, 2 hooded mergansers, 1 pintails, 2 canvasbacks, 1 fulvous tree duck, 1 mottled duck, and 2 black duck (during black duck season). No open season for harlequin ducks. In addition to the duck bag limit, hunters may take 15 coots per day.

RP Hunt Zone: Garrett, Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery and Washington Counties and that portion of Anne Arundel County west of Interstate 895, Interstate 97, and Route 3, Prince Georges County west of Routes 3 and 301, and Charles County west of Route 301 to the VA state line.

* Note: Season, bag limit, and possession limit for migratory birds must conform to regulations and season frameworks adopted by the Secretary of the Interior. Federal regulations are proposed in mid - June and Maryland's formal season selections are submitted in mid - July. Following a public comment period, seasons are adopted by mid - August. Given this short time frame, public comment opportunities are limited. To provide additional opportunity for public involvement in this process, the Department will present this proposal with the understanding that it will be subject to conformance with forthcoming Federal frameworks.
